In conclusion…

Joining this spiritual pilgrimage is an act of faith for me. Faith not only in the fact that there are indeed “Greater Mysteries” contained within our world and the Universe, but faith that when you strive to become, to achieve further spiritual awareness, a Higher Consciousness is there that will support you in the attainment of your goals.

?About 10 years ago while in meditation I was told that I have always been of the Lineage of the Lotus Goddess.  At the time I thought that meant I was connected to the Hindu Goddess Lakshmi (who is the Hindu Goddess of wealth and abundance) but after a number of years of study and meditation I came to the realization that Lakshmi is actually an aspect of the Bodhisattva the Chinese call Kuan Yin. Kuan Yin is the full manifestation of the Lotus Goddess energetic consciousness  – which is mercy, compassion and gentleness. Since I feel such a strong affinity to Kuan Yin it seems only fitting and proper that I write about her sacred mountain. (more…)

In China a traditional spiritual pilgrimage also includes journeys to sacred sites and for Buddhists, it is customary to travel to one or more of the 5 sacred mountains each year. This tradition has been going on for thousands of years. In fact though pilgrimage to the sacred mountains was first recorded during The Zhou Dynasty (1045-256 BC), it is widely acknowledged that the practice was in effect long before that. (more…)

Now I don’t know about you but I personally, had never given too much thought to the idea of going on a spiritual pilgrimage before this aspect opened up in my life. I really wasn’t prepared and had no clear concept of what I was signing up for. So I did what most people do these days when unsure of a concept – I googled Spiritual Pilgrimages and I discovered that Pilgrimages are gone on in every part of the world.
