Pilgrimage to China Part 4

Greetings!

This is part four in my series of preparing for my pilgrimage to China.

Pilgrimage Part  4

I’d like to say that after my heart opening my world changed dramatically, that I became a better and kinder person but to be honest the only change I noticed was a kind of peace that began to overlay my life.  I stopped stressing as much over stuff that was my habit to stress about (computer malfunctions, bad drivers, being late) I also began noticing how I limited myself sometimes in my speech (“I’m not a left-brain kind of gal” is a good example).  In my healing practice I began to notice an increased ability to channel healing energy, which was nice and I found myself really loving the Medicine Buddha meditation practice. Pilgrimage Part  3

The Opening

The Medicine Buddha was (and continues to be) a life-changing and powerful teaching. Abbott Dan is a good and generous instructor and he talked a lot about his master – Master Yu.  He told us that Master Yu is called the Dharma King in China and is acknowledged as having reached the highest level of enlightenment by all the Buddhist leaders there. About a week later I talked to Abbott Dan on the phone about the possibility of coming up to teach again and when I hung up I felt this strange fluttering in my heart. I wasn’t alarmed but I definitely wondered what was going on (heart palpitations? Panic attack? …I never had one but heard they sometimes felt like that…) maybe I was working too hard (again). Anyway I breathed it away and went about my day and forgot all about it. (more…)

Journey to China Part 2

Greetings!

This is part two.  Part one can be found at my website

I have been told that I may have little to no access to the Internet while I am away but the data I gathered doing research in preparation for my journey was so prolific that I decided to use it to create the following series. This, then, is a chronicle of the situations and events that led up to my going to China.  I hope to continue the sharing of my journey as best I can during my absence but if indeed I have no access to the Internet I will complete this series upon my return….

It is with the strong desire to increase and expand my healing abilities for myself and all sentient beings, that I undertake my 100-day China Pilgrimage.
