This is part four in my series of preparing for my pilgrimage to China.

Pilgrimage Part  4

I’d like to say that after my heart opening my world changed dramatically, that I became a better and kinder person but to be honest the only change I noticed was a kind of peace that began to overlay my life.  I stopped stressing as much over stuff that was my habit to stress about (computer malfunctions, bad drivers, being late) I also began noticing how I limited myself sometimes in my speech (“I’m not a left-brain kind of gal” is a good example).  In my healing practice I began to notice an increased ability to channel healing energy, which was nice and I found myself really loving the Medicine Buddha meditation practice. I was ready for more!

So I asked Abbott Dan to come up and teach the Medicine Buddha workshop again and he said he would.  This time the teaching was just as powerful as the last but I felt a whole new layer of understanding open up as Abbott Dan talked. I took greater interest in the stories he told about Master Yu and when he said that Master Yu often would know what someone was going to do in their lives before they did it – I believed him. After all, I had personally experienced the power and healing abilities of Master Yu. Then Dan passed around a paper stating that Master Yu was offering for the 2nd and last time in his life, a 100-day training in China. “I am going” I said but as I talked to Abbott Dan further I began to be assailed by doubts. How could I leave my practice for so long, my kids and grandkids, my pets? Where would I get the money to go? But Abbott Dan said that if it was ones destiny to go and you petitioned the Universe with a sincere heart, miracles would happen to make it possible to go.

So I called up my friend who is a certified EFT Master Teacher and asked her to help me put together a focus meditation combining EFT and spiritual exercises to help me release my limiting “Yes buts” around going to the retreat. We put together a simple practice and within 6 weeks the money had appeared that would allow me to go to China! Then I received an email stating that we would also need to fund the traveling through China aspect of the pilgrimage. Oh No! I hadn’t included that in my calculations. My miracle source of funds had been tapped…Now what? I spent about a week in meditation asking for clarity (was I NOT meant to go?) and was finally given a very clear response… I was meant to ask for donations from my students, clients and email list and in exchange I would send blessings from all the sacred sites I would be visiting. Huh? ASK for money? I have a very hard time doing something like that. But the message was very clear… spread the healing energy… create a win/win situation. And so I sent out an email doing just that and the response was immediate and very warm and supportive…. And I got just the amount of money I needed to pay for my travels through China.

Now all I had to do was to get ready for my spiritual pilgrimage!
