Late winter flowers are blooming showing us that spring will be coming soon.  Time to start preparing our minds and bodies as well as our gardens for the bounty that spring and summer will bring.

We are fortunate to have Master Bodhi teaching in April.  I will be teaching some foundation Dharma classes as well as my ever popular Reiki class.

 

Akasha Yoga

in Sebastopol

April 14th-15th 10-3pm both days

For centuries, Buddhist monks have practiced Akasha Yoga to help them enter the Zen state, the superhighway to Enlightenment.  This movement practice connects the sixteen mudras of Akashagarbha Bodhisattva.  The gentle and flowing movements connect you to the Universal Wisdom found in the Akasha or all-pervading life force.  In a very short time, cultivators will bring together body and mind, movement and nature.  It’s an easy practice for all ages.  The self-spiritual light in the cultivator’s body will smoothly connect to the light of the heavenly bodies of the universe.  The practitioner may experience the earth’s gravitation and the heavenly bodies’ pull, letting her or his body experience significant changes.  The goal of doing this practice is not merely to have improved health, but to embark upon the path of wisdom.  Ultimately, it is about realizing wisdom in order to be one with all and every dharma and thus achieve the state of ENLIGHTENMENT.  

You will learn: 

* All 3 levels of the practice and receive an Abesheka – a pouring of holy oil upon the crown which empowers the practice

 * How to combine the Mantra and Visualization with the moving Mudra of Akasha Yoga

Taught by Master Bodhi the Head Teacher of the Mantrayana School who has received initiation / transmission from Awakened Masters all over the world, including the White Sunlight Rinpoche, who was enthroned as the Kalachakra Dharma King by the 9th Panchen Lama.  He has taught at a number of monasteries throughout Qinghai China.

Medicine Buddha

a practice for the healing and prevention of Epidemic and Disease 

April 21st-22nd 10-3pm both days

at Diamond Yoga Dharma Center in Benicia 
Medicine Buddha is an ancient healing dharma and is a prerequisite to many advanced practices.  It requires an abhis’eka transmission from the Vajracharya of the school.  The beginner depends on the Enlightened Masters of the Dharma Lineage in order to perform the techniques.This workshop includes: 

  1. Medicine Buddha Master Mediation, a method for self-cultivation, healing and protection.
  2. Medicine Buddha’s Healing Pagoda Technique to Heal Others.
  3. Separate Purifying Techniques for Air, Water and Food.
  4. Learn the Profound Group Cultivation Technique

Treasure Vase**

Saturday April 28th

Treasure Vase has a very profound effect on the energetic body and can bring forth an inner Qi-releasing movement in a very short period of time.  The energy brought forth in this manner can fight against aging and protect one’s life, allowing the practitioner to resist all kinds of illness and open up one’s wisdom eye.  This practice will also support the practitioner in being able to easily withstand every possible environmental condition, including extreme heat and cold.
